Talking colour Talking pattern
In this experiment, I started by observing my surroundings and extracting colors from the environment. In the first chapter, my inspiration came from the arrangement of fruits in a fruit stand. I used different materials such as watercolor pencils and sketching techniques. What I am most satisfied with in this experiment is the landscape I painted, as landscapes make me feel calm and peaceful. However, I think I still need to improve my ability to depict human figures. In my future experiments, I plan to draw more inspiration from people and incorporate that into my work.

I love the way that you’re paint using watercolour it feels very free and playful. For example the cliff landscapes by the sea, the fluidity and colour palette of your painting really reflects the atmosphere and colours of the photo. Moreover, in your talking pattern the way you can pick out and identify pattern from photos that some people wouldn’t think off is great and very individual. In the future, you should try different paints as your watercolour paintings are beautiful and I think that you would be able to get a wider variety of aesthetics and atmosphere using different paints that have a different colour palette for example acrylic or oil paints.
