A simplified colour block design inspired by an arcade machine
A digital drawing using a tartan inspired pattern I drew and the shoe inspired by boots I saw in the Heaven by Marc Jacob’s shop

In talking colour one thing I really struggled with was that the project was not to be realistic but to just show case the colour. I think that I overcomplicated the project as when I thought drawing I thought of realism and fine detailing and precision however this process of talking colour has allowed me to be more open about what can be thought of as a drawing. As I believe drawing isn’t my strong point this project also helped me come out of my comfort zone and try new media that I previously hadn’t experimented with. One process I leant into in this project is watercolour which I had done previously however I had only used it in a way to create realistic paintings. I really enjoyed using watercolours -which are usually used to make light pastel paintings- in a more abstract and geometric way. Moreover i found that when looking for colour in different spaces i was mainly attracted to either nature or fashion and colours or accessories.
